It seemed that the new 1.1.11 firmware has also solved the intermittent freezing/crashing problems. I found that the MediaGate player tends to freeze when streaming wirelessly. It is pretty stable when wired to a router.

MG-450HD 1.1.11 Firmware is available now. It fixed the following problems:

HDMI/DVI detection problem.
Some usb devices in USB host ports, were not detected correctly.
IRadio Buffering and “Stop” lockup issue.

A friend of mine bought a MediaGate MG450 when he traveled to Australia last week. It looks identical to MediaGate MG-350 HD but uses the newer package same as MG-45.
MG-450HD will go on sale in the US next week.
